Thanks to Eric and his team Bachard project OpenOffice Education , children can now use OOo4Kids (for "OpenOffice for Children"), a lighter version of the popular free office suite: OpenOffice .
As an alpha-tester, I could test the XO OOo4Kids. The launch was uneventful, and the application runs without worry. The launch is certainly a short time (about 40 seconds), but the use is not a problem.
It will of course test this with some complex documents, but overall I am very impressed by the performance of the software and I think the beginning is very promising. I will announce the official versions on this blog - stay tuned!

Now This is very cool - Open Office for Sugar. I can not wait for the real version. Could you share this on the OLPC News Forum so We Can Have Them help with testing?
