It is good from time to time to receive encouragement. This is what happens with this letter from Guy I wanted to share with you. It is this kind of support motivates us even more to go through with our dreams.

"Dear friends,

Let me begin this letter in these terms because for every action you lead in this small island of Nosy-Komba, I do not know how to thank you.

I was born in Nossi Bé in 1936. My father worked as an accountant at that time to Nossybéénne Co., which had large plantations in the region of Sambirano. We lived just eight miles to Ambohicena Ambanja (the rest in front of Nosy Komba in the area where stands the Ilot du Manoir (burial place of the director of the time) He wanted to see this promontory plantations Be Nossy and Sambirano. It was his last wish and it came true).

My brothers and I began our studies at the European School of Hellville (1943-1946). During the short break, the company placed at the disposal of my parents a holiday home in Nosy Komba. In the midst of this population Sakalama to which I am very attached that I took advantage of these wonderful days. Every night we went to meet the small town Makis which we brought bananas. They sometimes even come under our porch at night to devour the bunches of bananas ripened there. And on this beach of shells! ... And swimming in the sea! All these good moments are unforgettable. I also had at the time the opportunity to meet soldiers from the British Army. They had come to spend the day with us together with a Seychellois we know well. What a party that day! Cakes, cookies, ... In times of scarcity, you imagine the party.

I currently live in the Reunion Island (which my parents are from) and most recently I told a friend that I would write a book entitled: Two islands and a life. I spent 36 years in Madagascar and the same time at the meeting. In 2007, I went to Diego (show it to the place of birth of my eldest son) and Nossi-to find my childhood after more than forty years of absence. I even had the opportunity to go on an excursion to Nosy Komba. I did not know that you were leading humanitarian actions admirable.

My son in Paris on the Internet came across your site. He gave me the references and with my friend I learned of your achievements. I still speak the dialect Sokalave and I would like for my modest contribution to bring my support your projects. Therefore attached a check for 50 Euros. I knew the association OSE (Organization Sanitary deduction) of Madagascar, but not yours.

It is not impossible that I left at Nossi Bé and at the same time I will probably Nosy Komba. I would not fail then contact you.

Velories and congratulations on everything you do.

Amicably. "
